On 1 and 2 October 2025, the INTERSMARTS International Mentoring Collaboration, organised by the International Hellenic University, was held in Thessaloniki at the MONASTY Hotel. The event brought together leading experts, researchers, entrepreneurs and representatives of academia from the countries of the Black Sea basin.
The event brought together leading experts, researchers, entrepreneurs and representatives of academia from the Black Sea basin countries. During the two-day programme, participants exchanged experiences and good practices in the field of innovative and sustainable tourism, discussed the results of the national mentoring sessions and identified opportunities for new partnerships.
The collaboration focused on cooperation between science, business, and public institutions as a driver for sustainable development and increasing the competitiveness of tourism in the region.
The INTERSMARTS project is funded under the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021–2027 programme and is implemented in partnership between:
- Varna University of Management (Bulgaria),
- International Hellenic University (Greece),
- Moldova State University (Republic of Moldova),
- Istanbul Development Agency (Turkey).
