On November 20th, 2025, an international conference entitled “Innovation & Sustainable Transition in the Tourism Industry” brought together stakeholders from across the Black Sea Basin to explore smart and green approaches to tourism development at the International Hellenic University.
The event highlighted the role of the INTERSMARTS Platform in supporting innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in the tourism sector. Participants discussed how the platform’s tools and resources can be used to foster smart tourism solutions, encourage sustainable business models, and strengthen cross-border cooperation.
The event was organized by the Department of Organisation Management, Marketing and Tourism and was held in a hybrid format, enabling wide participation from researchers, practitioners, and policy representatives.
