On November 28th, 2025, the Varna University of Management hosted the International Conference “Cooperation for Blue Growth in the Black Sea Region” as the closing event with on-site and on-line participation.
The conference brought together the project coordinators and experts of all INTERSMARTS partner institutions in Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, and Turkiye, as well as experts from academia, business, and the non-governmental sector. The agenda referred to the main project outputs and achievements, including the INTERSMARTS innovation management platform, as well as examples of sustainable business models and socially responsible tourism. Some of the organizations identified within the project as good practices in the field of sustainable maritime tourism and the blue economy presented their achievements and practical experience on site.
The conference contributed to strengthening cooperation between partners and expanding the network of stakeholders working in the field of sustainable development and the blue economy.
