INTERSMARTS at the International Scientific Conference “Modern Paradigms in the International and World Economy”

The Faculty of Economic Sciences at the State University of Moldova hosted the 17th International Scientific Conference “Modern Paradigms in the Development of the National and World Economy” in Chișinău from October 24–26, 2024, featuring distinguished speakers including university leaders, international ambassadors, government officials, and representatives from global institutions. During the event, INTERMARTS project was presented as a joint research initiative about sustainable tourism as a key driver of blue growth, balancing economic development with the protection of marine and coastal ecosystems in the Black Sea Basin. Addressing regional tourism challenges, the INTERSMARTS project promotes interdisciplinary research, innovation, and collaboration through the quintuple innovation helix model—linking academia, business, government, civil society, and the environment—to support smart, sustainable tourism development and position it as a knowledge-intensive sector.
